Bojangles names Master Biscuit Maker Champions
Bojangles would like to congratulate the 2011 Bojangles Master Biscuit Maker Champions. Three employees from company-operated Bojangles and one employee from a franchise-operated location were crowned Biscuit Maker Champions and awarded trophies, $1,000 in cash and, most importantly, ultimate bragging rights for being the very best at making Bojangles delicious, made-from-scratch biscuits.
To earn an invitation to the Master Biscuit Maker finals, employees had to win store-, area- and regional-level competitions. While utilizing all of the correct tools and ingredients, contestants had to complete all 15 steps of the mixing process, the 18-step rolling process and the 11-step cutting process before they could even bake their biscuits. Once biscuits were removed from the oven, they were judged on taste, color, height and diameter.
Were grateful for all our heroes in our restaurants who work hard each day to ensure our customers get the very best buttermilk biscuits and hand-breaded chicken around, said Bojangles President and CEO Randy Kibler. We are especially proud of our teammates who possess the dedication and drive that the Master Biscuit Maker challengers exhibited throughout this years competition.
