Family meal boxes are perfectly tailored for tailgating and just about anything else

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Sep. 1, 2021) - As football teams are gearing up to take the field, fans are getting ready for an epic season of tailgating, and Bojangles has them covered with its fan-favorite Big Bo Boxes. Whether fans are making up for lost time by showing out for their home teams, laying low and homegating from the couch, or turning mundane activities into tailgates, Bo has a box for them.

“One thing we’ve learned from this difficult year is to be grateful for the little things, so Bojangles wants to give fans a chance to tailgate everything – in whatever way works best for you,” said Jackie Woodward, Bojangles’ chief brand and marketing officer. “Our team-themed Big Bo Boxes are perfect for cheering on your favorite team on the field or at home, but are also great for tailgating soccer practices, band concerts and spending down time with the family. You name it – you can tailgate it!”

This year, the home of fried chicken and made-from-scratch biscuits has added Florida State University, North Carolina A&T State University and Wake Forest University to its legendary list of tailgate teams.

In addition to the first-time schools, this year’s Big Bo Box class includes the University of Alabama, Clemson University, East Tennessee State University, James Madison University, University of Georgia, University of South Carolina, Western Carolina University, University of North Carolina Wilmington, University of Tennessee, East Carolina University and – of course – Bojangles’ NFL home team, the Carolina Panthers.

Families and football fans alike can make every day feel like gameday by purchasing and enjoying one of our delicious 8-, 12- or 20-piece meals with their choice of home-style fixin’s, biscuits and Legendary Iced Tea®. The boxes also include cups, plates and utensils. The team-themed Big Bo Boxes will be available at restaurants in each team’s primary market(s) while supplies last.

Along with its lineup of Big Bo Boxes, Bojangles has also drafted a significant number of college athletes to Team Bojangles under the NCAA’s new Name, Image and Likeness policy. The brand has signed endorsement deals with more than 70 athletes in a variety of men’s and women’s sports across its footprint, including UNC-Chapel Hill quarterback Sam Howell and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei.

Be on the lookout for some larger-than-life surprises from the brand as football season gets underway.
