Since 2021, Bojangles has proudly supported Folds of Honor, a national non-profit that provides scholarships to the children and spouses of our fallen and disabled military service men and women and first responders. At Bojangles’ national convention in September 2023—the first cConvention in three years—the company presented a check for $563,311 to Folds of Honor, the culmination of several company-wide activations to support the non-profit. Bojangles and Folds of Honor representatives Sarah Duncan and Ben Leslie were onsite to accept the donation, alongside scholarship recipient Ashlyn McCain, who recently graduated from the University of Central Florida. In a touching presentation, country singer Lee Brice, an ardent supporter of Bojangles and Folds of Honor, presented the generous check.
The money was raised through various activations, most notably the limited edition Star-Spangled Big Bo Box and Big Bo Bag, which were available through the summer, and a round-up donation option at the register. To promote the activation and further support first responders, Bojangles took the Bo Heroes Mobile, a patriotically-wrapped ambulance, on a three-week tour around the southeast, surprising hundreds of firefighters, police officers and service men and women with scratch-made chicken, biscuits, and tea.
With more than 44,000 scholarships awarded since 2007 totaling an approximate $200 million, Folds of Honor continues its steadfast march towards fostering academic opportunities in all 50 states. Since initiating their partnership with Folds of Honor in 2021, Bojangles has contributed more than $1.8 million to this mission.
