Ken Reynolds has spent 32 years helping Bojangles become a brand millions know and love. Along his journey with the company, he’s held many roles – sometimes simultaneously – and now he’s making another bold step within the organization. As of March 2026, Reynolds’ sole focus is on expanding the impact and reach of the Bojangles Foundation as its full-time Executive Director. This is a big milestone for him and the foundation, as he previously split his time between the foundation and his role as the Director of Community Affairs and Partnerships.
This new path for Reynolds is a career highlight not only because of its potential to help propel the foundation into its next chapter but also because of how his journey began with Bojangles – working as a temporary employee analyzing point-of-sale metrics. From there, he moved into full-time positions in marketing and eventually found himself managing community and sports sponsorships. In the latter role, he helped bring Bojangles to some of the biggest stages in sports through partnerships across professional leagues like the NBA and NFL, collaborations with collegiate athletic programs and a significant presence in NASCAR. He often reflects on the energy and teamwork that defined those years – especially Bojangles’ first season sponsoring the Southern 500 in Darlington. “I remember the teamwork and pride from that first Southern 500,” Reynolds said. “Support Center and field teams came together to create an unforgettable race day experience—and we did that for years.”
Today, Reynolds is channeling that same passion into his leadership of the Bojangles Foundation. He is committed to strengthening the foundation’s current partnerships, exploring new partnership opportunities and deepening its mission of supporting the communities where Bojangles operates. One initiative he hopes to bring to life is a relief program for Bojangles team members facing unexpected financial hardships. “Life happens; we all experience it,” he shared. “My hope is to develop a relief program for team members to assist when those moments arise.” It’s an idea rooted in compassion and the belief of taking care of home first, which is part of the foundation’s vision to support and positively impact the communities it serves by supporting the military, first responders, literacy and hometown initiatives.
Looking ahead, Reynolds is energized by the possibilities. “I can’t wait to make the foundation bigger, better and bolder,” he said. “We have some great plans that will expand its financial reach and impact.”
While Reynolds is no longer building sports partnerships, the relationships he’s developing for the Bojangles Foundation will be even more impactful. Now, his legacy with Bojangles will not only be about millions of people knowing the Bojangles brand and being fans of the food but also the positive impact Bojangles brings to its communities. Reynolds’ next step is, indeed, bold, and being bold is the only way to journey with a Carolina legend like Bojangles. It’s Bo Time!
