Bo-Berry Week has officially come and gone, but if your sweet tooth is still reeling, you’re not alone.
From May 5–9, Bojangles fans celebrated the return of two menu items from the Bo-Berry platform: the Sausage Bo-Berry Biscuit and the Bo-Berry Cookie. Together, they sparked a weeklong frenzy of flavor, frosting and foot traffic – proving once again that the iconic Bo-Berry isn’t just a biscuit. It’s a vibe.
The Sweetest Highlights
-
Bryce Young’s return for year two of the Smart Cookie Campaign reminded fans that Bojangles supports children’s education as much as it does biscuits!
-
A heart-shaped check for $150,000 was presented live by Greg Olsen and Jose, supporting The HEARTest Yard Foundation and proving that biscuits can be both flaky and philanthropic.
-
The first-of-its-kind Bo-Berry Merch dropped, complete with vintage-style tees and hats – perfect for those who like to wear their cravings on their sleeves.
-
Daily deals packed serious punch, with free treats, BOGOs and limited time offers that had people checking the app faster than you can say “extra icing, please.”
LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: Charlotte Kid Earns “Superfan” Status During Bo-Berry Week
While Bo-Berry Week swept across Bojangles locations from May 5–9 in a flurry of icing, daily deals and biscuit-fueled buzz, one Charlotte local rose to the top like a biscuit in the oven: 9-year-old Bobby Berry.
We caught up with the self-declared Bojangles superfan and Bo-Berry enthusiast–who, according to his family, has only worn purple for the last five days and refers to his backpack as a “biscuit transport unit.”
“It was the best week of my life,” Bobby beamed, proudly sporting his limited-edition Bo-Berry merch hat and matching sticker collection. “I smiled so much my face hurt. Even if my dentist disagrees…”
Bobby wasn’t just enthusiastic – he was committed. He visited his neighborhood Bojangles every single day of Bo-Berry Week, sometimes twice. He even made a plan to share his cookie haul from Monday’s deal with his Little League team – until he got sidetracked.
“I was supposed to share with my team,” he admitted. “But then I watched one episode of Bluey and accidentally ate all twelve. Oops.”
By Wednesday, Bobby was spotted in action again, furiously tapping into the Bojangles app the moment the free Sausage Bo-Berry Biscuit deal went live.
“I clicked so fast my tablet froze. But I got it! Worth it. Totally worth it,” he said, holding up an empty biscuit wrapper like a trophy. “I yelled ‘IT’S BO TIME’ as loud as I could in the car. My mom was not amused.”
And while Bobby didn’t get to attend one of the Smart Cookie Tour stops in person, he still felt like part of the moment–thanks to a very animated group text.
“My friends freaked out,” he said. “They couldn’t believe Bryce Young showed up at their school with cookies. One kid said it was the coolest thing that’s ever happened–like, even better than surprise pizza day.”
He’s already created a scrapbook titled “Bo-Berry Forever”— complete with photos, sticker pages and actual crumbs (lovingly glued in place). He renamed his pet goldfish “Biscuit” and rewrote a schoolbook report to include the now-iconic line:
“If George Washington had tasted a Bo-Berry Biscuit, he’d make it a law that everyone gets one on their birthday.”
So, what’s next for this biscuit ambassador?
“I’m designing a board game called Bo-Berry Blitz. There’s a frosting-powered catapult. It’s very competitive.”
And his advice to other Bo-Berry fans?
“Freeze a biscuit. Frame a cookie. And don’t delete the app. You never know when Bo-Berry magic will strike again.”
There you have it: a story of sugar, soul and unmatched biscuit devotion.
Until Next Time…
Bo-Berry Week may be over, but its spirit lives on–in merch drawers, camera rolls and perhaps, a sticky spot of icing on your car’s cupholder.
We didn’t just celebrate a biscuit–we energized fans, grew app engagement and proved once again that when Bojangles goes big, its community shows up bigger.
To everyone who joined the celebration, thank you. You made Bo-Berry Week one for the biscuit books.
