Bojangles today announced the promotion of Cathy Chase to Chief People Officer, a strategic role leading talent initiatives for more than 10,000 company employees. A seasoned leader with a passion for developing people and culture, Chase will focus on building modern, scalable systems that enhance how Bojangles supports its growing team.
“Cathy understands that how we serve each other is just as important as how we serve our guests,” said Bojangles CEO Jose Armario. “She leads with heart, drives with strategy and shows up for our people every day. That kind of leadership is how we build a stronger Bojangles from the inside out.”
Chase’s journey began in the small town of Unity, Maine, where she learned early on the value of connection and community. After spending a decade in retail operations at Hanes Brands, she shifted her focus to human resources, driven by a desire to support and impact people more directly. That pivot led to roles across industries and cities, from retail to energy, all anchored in one core mission: to help people unlock their potential in ways that feel genuine to them.
Since joining Bojangles in 2020 as Sr. Director of Employee Experience and then becoming Vice President of People and Culture, Chase has guided the company through a transformative period, emphasizing innovation in people-related systems and tools. Her leadership supports Bojangles’ ongoing evolution as a modern quick-service restaurant brand and ensures team members feel empowered along the way.
“I’m seeing everybody throughout the organization step up to the moment that we’re in right now, from leaders in our restaurants to right here at our Support Center in Charlotte,” said Chase. “That sense of connection is what fuels my work, and it’s why I’m committed to helping every team member grow into their best self. That’s how we build a stronger Bojangles – by leading with purpose and putting people first.”
